Criteria for Acceptance

1. Geographical Location – Latet efficiently supports and pools resources, thus an evaluation will be conducted for the non profit organizations in the area supported by the Organization.

 

2. Target PopulationAssessing the population supported by the Organization while preserving the value of equality – providing humanitarian aid regardless of religion, race and sex.

 

3. Non Profit Organization Activities Latet aims to support non profit organizations that provide aid to the needy.

 

4. Provision of the following documents/certificates:

Non profit organization registration certificate from the Registrar of Non Profit Organizations or a certificate of registration of a public benefit company from the Registrar of Companies.

Non profit organization certificate/category from V.A.T..

Duly valid income tax certificates providing an exemption from tax deduction at the source and a certification of ledger management.

A valid certificate of recognition as a public institution for the purpose of donations pursuant to Article 46 of the Income Tax Order (if relevant).

Valid proper management certificate from the Registrar of Non Profit Organizations or a valid temporary certificate.

Non profit organization articles of incorporation – Signed by signatories or, alternately, if the organization uses existing articles of incorporation, it will be asked to make a declaration thereof and attach thereto the applied changes and the protocol relating to the issue.

Recommendation of the municipal welfare department.

Financial report (audited, if so required by law).

Approved organization budget for the current year.

List of 5 top salary earners in the non profit organization.

Attorney or Organization Chairman approval that it is not facing any legal suits (if it is, provide a brief explanation).

 

5. Tour on site in order to gain an unmediated impression of its activities.

 

6. Signing a commitment toward Latet, by which:

The organization operates as a non profit organization, reports and keeps its ledgers as required by law.

The non profit organization is non political and non partisan, thus its activities are meant for the entire population, on an egalitarian basis.

The food products received from Latet will be distributed to the families for no return whatsoever.

The families will be selected by their financial standing only, without prejudice and in coordination with the welfare department.

The non profit organization will report its activities to Latet and will enable Latet representatives to audit its activities from time to time.

The non profit organization will generate a report of its activities, at the request of Latet.

Cooperation with Latet in ongoing activities.
