"the correct way to educate human beings is to serve as an example for them"
Albert Einstein
The Israeli society has placed the social problem on top of the public agenda. The answer to the question as to whether the requested change will take place depends only on us. If we continue to act in favour of the needy, we shall bring about the change by ourselves, we shall strengthen the civilian society and shall compel
everyone to face the "social problem".
The project called "The face of poverty" is educational and informative granting the young generation in the Israeli society a background on volunteering, humanitarian and tolerant values, in order to help creating a society respecting its fellow-men and open to their suffering in Israel and in the world, without differences of religion, ethnicity and sex.
We believe that every volunteer should know and keep inside his heart the social situation in the State of Israel, so as to create a volunteering process coming from the awareness of the situation and the ability of each and everyone to bring about changes in those matters that trouble us as a society.
