Our Work

We operate as an umbrella organization and national food bank, managing Israel’s largest system for food procurement, rescue, and distribution. This unique operational model enables us to provide wide-reaching, efficient, and well-monitored assistance in both routine and emergency situations. Through our nationwide network of 210 partner NGOs, we provide monthly aid to tens of thousands of families and elderly individuals in need, representing all sectors of Israeli society.

We lead the largest food rescue operation in Israel, operating nationwide and throughout the entire year. Through long-term partnerships with businesses and an advanced logistical infrastructure, we are able to distribute thousands of tons of good, nutritious food to thousands of families and elderly individuals.

We provide ongoing, tailored support to Holocaust survivors and elderly people in need, improving their quality of life and easing their hardship. This is made possible through a dedicated network of volunteers who distribute nutritious food every monthly, as well as professionally provided comprehensive assistance including home renovations for accessibility adjustments, medical treatment, fulfillment of essential needs, alleviation of loneliness, and social events.

We work to foster values of mutual responsibility, giving and social involvement, alongside developing personal resilience, self-confidence and a sense of capability among youth. We educate young people to see volunteering as a way of life and provide them with tools to develop community initiatives and leadership skills, based on the belief that today’s youth are the change-makers of tomorrow.

As a leading umbrella organization in Israel, we are one of the few aid organizations actively working to place poverty and social inequality at the top of the national agenda. We do this through a combination of independent research, public outreach, and advocacy. Our goal is to provide a deeper understanding of the human reality of living in poverty in Israel, raise public awareness, and drive meaningful, lasting change.

We provide emergency humanitarian aid in both Israel and around the world. We support victims of war and crises in Israel and, over the past 30 years, have carried out 25 emergency missions in areas affected by natural disasters and civil wars across the globe.
