Every year, as the school year approaches, we expand our aid operations to ensure that children living in poverty can start the school year like everyone else with quality school supplies, nutritious food, and a sense of hope.

This year, 2,000 of the 5,000 school backpacks will be distributed to children in northern Israel whose lives have been impacted by the ongoing security situation.

• 67% of parents receiving aid said they cannot afford to buy basic school supplies for their children.
• In 41% of families receiving aid, at least one child was forced to enter the labor market, 2.4 times the rate in the general population (17.2%)
